Otherland has become my go-to gift for birthdays, holidays and everything in between. I started out with their beloved Cardamom Milk candle because it made me feel like I was swimming in a large frothy latte. I recently discovered The Beach Club Collection, which is great because I can utilize their 3-pack option for $89. Match Point - a combination of tennis balls, cut grass and cucumber - is a touching nod to childhood sports nostalgia. The packaging alone is worth the money, plus each candle comes with a cute matchbook. The best part? You can reuse the glass containers as a decorative pen holder or vase.

I wasn’t so sure about the scent of sandalwood but this one is mild enough - more like hiking through nature vibes - plus it’s super affordable. Break up any neutral space with this fun patterned glass jar and enjoy over 60 hours of burning time. Shout out to H&M Home, in general. I just bought a bunch of affordable duvet covers in a variety of neutrals and patterns as well as some swanky everyday gold-trimmed porcelain plates.

Rejuvenate your senses with a metaphoric trip to the beach. This tiny sea salt scented candle whisks you away to somewhere far far away. Remember the feeling of sand between your toes? Squint a bit harder and I bet this candle will take you there. Sitting at a little over three inches tall, this simple ceramic candle jar is the perfect bathroom accessory for your sink or on top of your commode.

I just about freaked when I learned that Glossier created a candle version of my favorite body oil from their Body Hero Collection! This sleek, vegan Orange Blossom Neroli candle is encased in a chic glass vessel and also comes in signature Glossier Pink with notes of pink pepper, fresh iris and woody ambrette. Don’t mind me, I’ll just be sitting near my new favorite candle for the next 45 hours (aka the candle’s burn time).

Get ready for the modern unscented candle. I fell in love with the aesthetic of Everlasting Candle Co. when I popped into my new favorite store, Fort & Field, on my to Santa Barbara. This steel oil candle doesn’t burn down like a traditional wax one so it can be relit thousands of times. I personally adore the gold version but it’s also available in copper, black, champagne, and silver. The Neva Collection is simple yet classic while the Sunset Collection represents celebrations of life (in five different colors!). All you need is their pristine oil to get these smoke-free and reusable candles ignited. It makes a great housewarming or Mother’s Day gift that will last for years to come.
